Jeffery Garae, Cyber Security Technical Advisor, OGCIO

Dr. Jeffery Garae serves as the Cyber Security Technical Advisor for the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu, OGCIO. He has recently advised and helped design, implement and establish Vanuatu's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT VU) and the Vanuatu Internet Governance Forum (VanIGF). Jeffery has a PhD research in Computer Science with the Cyber Security Researchers of Waikato (CROW) – University of Waikato. As a technical advisor, he is working with policy, legal, ICT and security professionals to strengthen and promote Cyber Security Situation Awareness and address security issues within the region, particularly in Vanuatu.
